Education meets experience

In 2009, I started my career in financial services. I have worked in many different areas of the industry, including operations, relationship management, wealth management, and private banking. I even decided to further my education and acquired my FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, 66, and Group One Life Insurance Licenses. I also completed a six-month program in Financial Planning at Rice University.

A startup offered a new start

Because of my experience working with consumers of different income levels and socioeconomic backgrounds, in 2016, I was tapped by MassMutual to help launch a new internal startup that catered to Latinx consumers. ValoraLife was created by MassMutual as an online term life insurance product, and my role was to build out a community engagement strategy that introduced our brand as well as educated our users on the importance of life insurance.

My new bae in The Bay

In 2018, I accepted a new gig in the Bay Area as a Content Strategist and Copywriter at a fintech startup called MoneyLion. There I was able to combine my knowledge of financial services and community management to implement a content strategy that touched many points across our user journey.  I write short and long-form blogs, multi-channel marketing campaigns, transactional emails, product flows, and much more. The opportunity to work at such a lean startup has given me the drive to continuously learn while being self-sufficient in a fast-paced environment.
