Challenge
At MoneyLion, we wanted to engage the Latinx community through new forms of content. Since we planned to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we needed content that would both show our appreciation for the Latinx culture while quickly grabbing the attention of our audience.
Solution
I proposed we create two 30-second recipe videos on popular Latinx dishes. I researched simple recipes on classic dishes that would be relatable to multiple Latinx cultural backgrounds. I then built out measurements of success for us to accomplish. In order to tie it back to finances, we included pricing for each ingredient and a total cost of these budget-friendly meals.

The results
The videos were used within our paid social channel and each produced over 15K views. Both videos also received over 40 comments on Facebook and Instagram, proving a great conversation starter for members. Engagement with video content was much higher (comments and likes) than other content that only included a still graphic.
My role
- Project manage video production process from creating storyboard, providing feedback, and working directly with video production company.
- Write copy for each video, researching content to ensure accuracy
- Develop measurements of success, timelines and budgets
